When you book a water test with Coastal Empire Water, one of our technicians will visit your home and spend about 45 mins to 1hr with you. The appointment takes place at your kitchen sink, where we’ll run 5–7 different tests to evaluate your water quality.
We do ask that all homeowners be present during the appointment. This way, we can review the results together, explain what they mean, and answer any questions you may have about water quality or filtration solutions.

Common Water Contaminants
Chlorine
Linked to cancer, respiratory issues, hair, skin and eye dryness, impacts on hair texture and color, unpleasant taste and odor.
Lead
Linked to developmental delays in children, kidney damage, and high blood pressure, especially harmful in older homes with lead pipes.
Nitrates
Often from agricultural runoff, linked to "blue baby syndrome" in infants, and may increase cancer risk.
Arsenic
Associated with skin conditions, cancer, cardiovascular disease, and diabetes.
Mercury
From industrial runoff, mercury can impair brain and nervous system development, particularly in young children and fetuses.
